Our Mission

The Seton Physical Therapy & Fitness Center provides quality serices, promotes wellness, and assists you in regaining full physical independence. We strive to offer the people of Bastrop and its surrounding counties, as well as inpatients at Seton Smithville Regional Hospital, the most comprehensive rehabilitation services available.

Services Offered

Physical Therapy
Physical therapists work with you to increase strength, endurance and range of motion; restore functional movement; relieve pain; and promote healing and recovering following an acuate or chronic condition.

Aquatic Therapy
Aquatic Therapy is the use of water and a specifically-designed activity for the patient, developed by a licensed therapist. This type of therapy will aid in the restoration, extension, and quality of function for persons with acute or chronic disabilities, syndromes or diseases.

Occupational Therapy
An occupational therapist (OT) provides rehabilitation with an emphasis on upper extremity function and improving independence with daily functional activities (dress, bathing, grooming, etc.). The OT also uses therapeutic exercises and activities, modalities, and can fabricate upper extremity splints.

Pulmonary Rehabilitation
A respiratory therapist can treat breathing disorders which include chronic lung problems (COPD, asthma, bronchitis, and emphysema), to maintain and recover lung function after illness or surgery.

Types of Patients We Serve

Orthopedics
Non-surgical and post-operative treatments for inpatients and outpatients with fractures, joint replacements and other bone/joint injuries.

Neurological Disorders
Individualized treatment for patients recovering from stroke, spinal cord injury, head injury, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, Parkinson's disease and other conditions.

Balance Dysfunctions
For patients with central or perpheral dysfunctions, we perform a comprehsensive evaluation and develop a rehabilitation program to help reduce or eliminate patients' symptoms and/or assist with effective strategies to reduce the risk of falls.

Lung/Respiratory Problems
A licensed respiratory therapist works directly with patients who have breathing disorders such as chronic lung problems (asthma, bronchitis and emphysema) to maintain and recover lung function after illness or surgery.

Fitness Center
Memberships are available to the general public (ages 18+), as well as current and former rehab clients. Our Fitness Center is designed to help you achieve your personal health and fitness goals.

Monday - Friday
8:00 am - 6:00 pm

Fitness Center
M-F: 5:30 am - 10:00 pm
Saturday: 7:00 am - 2:00 pm
