65 & Strong
65 & Strong is a program for persons 65 and older designed to maintain strength and independence, before and after serious injury. Combining our expertise as Williamson County's first state-designated Level II Trauma Center with national best practices, Seton Williamson's newest program is focused on injury prevention and mobility recovery, providing customized care and resources that promote active, healthy lifestyles for seniors.
From risk assessment and diagnosis to rehabilitation and ongoing management, Seton Medical Center Williamson offers the expertise and technology to care for a variety of cardiovascular problems, including emergency care. And as a member of the Seton Family of Hospitals, Seton Williamson is part of an extensive healthcare network comprised of skilled specialists and some of the most advanced hospitals in Central Texas, including Seton Medical Center Austin, the only hospital in Central Texas performing heart transplants, and Brackenridge Hospital, site of the region’s most advanced Trauma Center. Services include:
- Cardiac Rehabilitation
The program provides early mobilization, monitoring and education to inpatients who are recovering from a recent cardiac event or revascularization procedure. Care is continued through an outpatient program for up to 12 weeks. We utilize a multidisciplinary approach to provide monitored exercise and risk factor education to our cardiac patients.
- Cardiac Diagnostics
Our cardiac diagnostic services consist of Heart Catheterizations Diagnostic and Interventional, Electrophysiology Diagnostic and Interventional, Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology. All rooms are equipped with Philips advanced bi-plane imaging suites with the ability to perform 3-D reconstruction.
Cardiopulmonary & Neurodiagnostics
The program offers Respiratory Therapy, Echocardiograms, Stress Testing, Pulmonary Function Testing, EKG, EEGs and sleep lab studies.
- Respiratory Care
provides for the treatment, management, control, diagnostic evaluation, and care of patients with deficiencies and/or abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system.
- Cardiopulmonary Diagnostics (CPDX)
provides for the diagnostic evaluation of care of patients limited to deficiencies and/or abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system, and management of factors contributing to those deficiencies and/or abnormalities.
provides for the diagnostic evaluation and care of patients limited to deficiencies and/or abnormalities within the brain and nervous system and to a certain extent the cardiopulmonary system.
Critical Care / ICU
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) provides intensive care to critically ill patients including those recovering from open heart and other complex surgeries. The unit is equipped with leading edge monitoring technology and staffed around the clock with experienced nurses and Board Certified physicians in Internal Medicine who also provide consultation to admitting physicians.
Common endoscopic procedures include EGD (esophagus, stomach and duodenum), Colonoscopy (colon), Bronchoscopy (lungs), and ERCP where we can remove gallstones in a non-surgical manner or diagnose cancers and other disorders related to the liver and pancreas.
Our services include colon cancer screening and caring for people with life threatening gastrointestinal disorders.
The Seton Medical Center Williamson Imaging Department provides a broad spectrum of diagnostic Imaging Services for Inpatient, Outpatient and Emergency patients of all ages ranging from Newborn to Geriatric. Services offered: Diagnostic X-ray (Swissray Digital Radiology), CT (64 slice), MRI (1.5 Tesla), Ultrasound and Nuclear Medicine.
A team of highly trained and licensed Technologists and Board Certified Radiologists are dedicated to providing clients with high quality imaging exams in a caring, comfortable and convenient environment.
Seton Medical Center Williamson Laboratory is at the forefront of testing to aid in the diagnosis, treatment and management of disease.

- Transfusion Services
The Med-Surg Unit is designed to provide care to adults and non-complex pediatric patients. It is equipped with state-of-the-art nursing technology and safety equipment to protect our patients and our staff. Our services include the provision of nursing care to patients recovering from surgical procedures or being treated for acute medical conditions.
Our unit is supported by Medical Hospitalists who enable clinically coordinated care with exceptional outcomes. The pediatric service includes the support of Child Life Specialists and a playroom for age-appropriate care provision.
Our Rehabilitation Program is comprised of therapists from multiple specialties.
- Physical Therapists perform wound care and debridement.
- Occupational Therapists develop sensory motor skills including those of infants.
- Speech Therapists assist brain injury patients redevelop cognitive skills.
- Inpatient Therapists focus on early mobility and other interventions for the prevention of complications and the facilitation of a safe discharge.
Wound care and debridement, the development of sensory motor skills, speech and swallow therapy, post operative orthopedic interventions, pulmonary rehab, hand therapy and early mobility and activity of daily living training.

Robotic Surgery Program
Seton Williamson is the first hospital in Williamson County to offer da Vinci® Surgical System, providing surgeons with an alternative to both traditional open surgery and conventional laparoscopy by putting a surgeon's hands at the controls of a state-of-the-art robotic platform. The da Vinci System enables surgeons to perform even the most complex and delicate procedures through very small incisions with great precision. Current robotic surgery capabilities include urologic surgery, gynecologic surgery and cardiothoracic surgery.

Every feature of the Women’s Center has been designed to deliver a comforting and caring experience: Easy access to a convenient, separate entrance; covered, close-in parking and clear signage; a warm greeting and helpful instruction immediately upon entering. Our specialized Women’s Services include maternity, a Level II neonatal nursery, minimally invasive gynecological surgery, preventive mammograms (including online scheduling for screening mammograms) and more.
- Seton Cove
Seton Cove is an interfaith center for spiritual formation and renewal, with a focus on spirituality in the workplace. Inspired by the life and teachings of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, this center provides a welcoming place of solace and hospitality where people of any faith may nourish and foster their spiritual growth and discover a new relationship with themselves. Programs include luncheon reflections, individual and group direction, seminars and workshops, meditation groups, and day retreats, and are designed to act as an extension of activities provided by individual churches throughout Austin. - Ethics Consultation
Consultations for ethical problems related to healthcare are available for each patient, their family or legal representative. In general, an ethical problem may exist when the right thing to do is not clear or when people disagree about what is appropriate. For further information or assistance, contact your nurse or dial 0 for the hospital operator and ask for a chaplain or Patient Representative.
- Chaplain Services
Chaplains are available Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for visitation, prayer, spiritual and emotional support, sacramental ministry, assistance with advanced directives, ethics clarification and support. On-Call Chaplains provide after hours (24 hour) coverage. Chaplains can be reached by contacting the hospital operator. Of course, your own clergy is always welcome. The chapel and Interfaith Meditation Room are located on the first floor and are open 24 hours per day, seven days per week. - Patient Representative
The Patient Representative facilitates the flow of services and promotes communication between patients, families, physicians and hospital staff. Assistance is provided to patient/families seeking solutions to hospital-related questions, concerns and problems. Questions will be answered, comments and suggestions listened to, and hospital policies and procedures explained.
- Social Workers
Social workers are available to help you and your family deal with stress and anxiety that illness may create and will help you with any problems that may arise during your hospitalization. Social workers provide counseling, help you obtain benefits and needed services, and work with you in planning for your care following discharge from the hospital.
Interpreters are available upon request 24 hours a day to translate foreign languages for our patients. Your nurse can arrange for an interpreter to assist you in communication with your healthcare team.

Communication is essential to good healthcare, and we encourage you to make your particular needs known. TDD services may be arranged through the hospital operator by dialing 0. Ask your nurse to arrange for the assistance of a sign language interpreter if needed.
