John Brindley
President and CEO
John Brindley has over 32 years of experience in healthcare leadership. He currently serves as President and CEO, South Market, which consists of four hospitals. He initially joined the Seton Family of Hospitals as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in 1996. Prior to joining Seton, he was the Chief Operating Officer at DePaul Medical Center in Norfolk, Virginia. John has also held leadership positions at INOVA Fairfax Hospital and the Washington Hospital Center.
Mr. Brindley has extensive experience in operations improvement, supply chain and product line management. Under his leadership Seton Medical Center Austin and Seton Northwest Hospital have achieved Magnet Recognition for Excellence in Nursing Service and Seton Medical Center Austin has been designated Austin’s most preferred hospital from 1999–2011 with the Consumer Choice award given by the National Research Corporation and has been recognized as one of the Top 100 Hospitals in the Country multiple times.
Mr. Brindley received his Masters of Arts in Healthcare Administration from George Washington University and has a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University.
He currently serves on numerous community Boards which include Caritas of Austin, Catholic Health Association of Texas, and the American Cancer Society of Central Texas.
Herbert A. Dyer
Vice President and Project Executive
Herb Dyer is Vice President and Project Executive for Seton Medical Center Hays. In this capacity, he serves as the project executive for the Seton Medical Center Hays project. He is responsible for coordinating architectural and general contractor planning, cost estimates, development of multi-year pro forma financials, the medical staff, philanthropy, community interface, and physician and staff recruitment.
He is an executive with extensive experience in strategic planning, fiscal management and organizational operations. Mr. Dyer has held executive positions in several non-profit hospital systems. Prior to his relocation to Austin, he was employed by the Health and Hospital Corporation of New York City as an Associate Executive Director.
Mr. Dyer is a graduate of Baruch College in New York, New York, and holds a Masters in Public Administration.

Gerald W. Hill
Executive Director, Seton Hays Foundation
Gerald Hill is the Executive Director for the Seton Hays Foundation. He also serves as Senior Vice President of Advocacy for the Seton Family of Hospitals.
Mr. Hill is a former legislator, having represented District 49 in Travis County for four terms. He was named one of the 10 best legislators by Texas Monthly magazine. He also served as Executive Assistant to Governor Mark White.
Mr. Hill served as Vice Chancellor for Governmental Relations for the University of Texas System, and later as Vice President of University Advancement at Texas State University-San Marcos prior to joining Seton in 2004.

Patrick Garcia, MD
Vice President of Medical Affairs
Patrick Garcia, MD, is the Vice President of Medical Affairs for Seton Medical Center Hays. He joined the Seton Family of Hospitals in 1996.
Board certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Garcia graduated Magna Cum Laude from St. Edward’s University, and attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He completed his residency with the Central Texas Medical Foundation (now University of Texas Physicians, Central Texas) at University Medical Center Brackenridge where he became Chief Resident and then an attending physician. Dr. Garcia has also served more than eight years as the director of University of Texas Physicians, Central Texas Transitional Residency Program.
Dr. Garcia currently is serving as Medical Director of both Seton Southwest Hospital and Seton Highland Lakes Hospital in Burnet, Texas, and serves on a number of medical- and community-based committees.

Nikki Rivers
Chief Nursing Officer
Nikki Rivers, RN, CNA, BSN, MBA, is the CNO of the southern region including Seton Medical Center Hays, Seton Southwest and Seton Edgar B. Davis. Ms. Rivers brings more than 18 years of nursing management and experience to this role. Ms. Rivers joined the Seton Family in 1998 as the Director of Surgical Services for University Medical Center Brackenridge. She then served as Director of Mission Control from 2001-2002.
