SETON Outpatient Pulmonary Rehabilitation Center Programs help patients with chronic lung disease get the most out of life. Living with chronic lung disease can be very challenging and can interfere with someone's ability to perform normal daily activities. Many patients with lung disease have refrained from doing social activities and functions as well due to the fear associated with shortness of breath.

Pulmonary rehabilitation is a comprehensive program that involves disease management and exercise reconditioning. Patients are taught how to control and lessen their shortness of breath with breathing techniques, energy conservation, exercise for reconditioning, and proper medication control. The exercise portion helps patients become stronger and gives them more confidence to do activities outside of the rehab setting.

Patients are partners in their rehabilitation and rehabilitation plans are tailored to each person's needs.
