Seton Northwest Hospital offers convenient and comprehensive 24-hour emergency health services for our neighbors in northwest Austin. Our designated Level IV Trauma Center includes board-certified emergency physicians and highly skilled nurses and a vast network of specialists using the latest technologies.
Seton Northwest provides a safe and caring environment with staff trained to help women stay healthy. Our specialized Women’s Services include maternity, a Level II neonatal nursery, minimally invasive gynecological surgery, preventive mammograms (including online scheduling of screening mammograms) and more.

From risk assessment and diagnosis to rehabilitation and ongoing management, Seton Northwest offers the expertise and technology to care for a variety of cardiovascular problems, including emergency care. And as a member of the Seton Family of Hospitals, Seton Northwest is part of an extensive healthcare network comprised of skilled specialists and some of the most advanced hospitals in Central Texas, including Seton Medical Center Austin, the only hospital in Central Texas performing heart transplants, and University Medical Center Brackenridge, site of the region’s most advanced Trauma Center.
Seton Northwest offers a wide range of diagnostic tests for inpatients, outpatients and emergency patients. The Imaging Department provides X-rays, mammograms (including online scheduling of screening mammograms), ultrasound, CT scans (including Heart Healthy CT and Lung Healthy CT), nuclear medicine and echocardiograms. And we now offer an MRI system that has a larger opening for claustrophobic and obese patients while providing the ability to capture high-quality diagnostic images.
The Rehabilitation Services Department provides a variety of services for inpatients and outpatients ranging in age from children to the very elderly. An evaluation of the patient is completed prior to therapy being administered. An individualized treatment plan is developed taking into account the patient’s, family’s physician’s and therapist’s goals. Rehabilitation Services offers physical therapy, wound care, and occupational therapy as well as an outpatient neuro program. In addition, the Sports Medicine and Hand Therapy Clinic, one of Central Texas’ premier physical therapy clinics, is designed specifically to treat and help prevent sports injuries through a variety of different rehab services including physical therapy, occupational therapy, hand therapy and aquatic therapy. Open 24 hours a day 7 days a week, the Seton Northwest Laboratory is a College of American Pathologist accredited laboratory. Services include Blood Bank, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Clinical Chemistry and Pathology. The Lab main number is (512) 324-6005.
Case Management/Social Services
You are assigned a case manager and social worker when you are admitted to the hospital. Your case manager is responsible for ensuring that each day of your hospitalization is covered by your insurance. If you do not have insurance, your case manager and/or social worker will work with Seton Northwest’s financial counselors to assist you in obtaining alternative financial resources. In addition, your case manager will work with you, your physician and your treatment team to ensure that you have an appropriate and safe discharge plan.
Your social worker may also provide supportive counseling to you and coordination of your care and discharge plans with your family, friends or caregivers.
