Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas

From its roots as Children’s hospital of Austin, Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas opened on June 30, 2007 as the newest member of the Seton Healthcare Family. Located on approximately 32 acres of redeveloping Mueller community, the $200 million facility is a combination of “high tech and high touch” that spans nearly one-half million square feet, three times as big as Children’s Hospital of Austin. That additional space supports increased capacity in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and the Emergency Department, a comprehensive Pediatric Trauma program, a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Center, and a host of other capabilities.

Dell Children’s is the first hospital in the world to achieve Platinum certification under the Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) program sponsored by the United States Green Building Council.

Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas is proud to announce our official redesignation by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Magnet hospital. Learn more »
