Medicines used to treat seizures caused by meningitis include:

Phenytoin (Dilantin).
Phenobarbital (Luminal).
Benzodiazepines, such as clonazepam (Klonopin).

Medicines to treat seizures caused by meningitis are used only until the seizures are no longer a problem.
