Bio
Frank J. Zidar, M.D. comes to Austin from North Carolina. After completing his undergraduate degree at Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, he received his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical school in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Post-graduate training began with an Internal Medicine residency at the University of Michigan Health System, where he spent an additional year as Chief Medical Resident. This was follow by a Cardiology fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Zidar then completed a second fellowship at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina specializing in coronary, carotid and peripheral arterial interventions. Dr. Zidar is American Board of Internal Medicine certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. He serves the Central Austin area and is a member of the following organizations: the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association, the Travis County Medical Society, American College of Cardiology and the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.
