Bio
Dr. Wenzel is board-certified in endocrinology and internal medicine. He received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania and attended his first two years of medical school at University of Navarra in Pamplona, Spain. Dr. Wenzel earned his medical degree from New Jersey Medical School in Newark. He then completed a residency in internal medicine at Albany Medical Center Hospital in New York, and a fellowship in endocrinology at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore and George Washington University Medical Center in Washington D.C.
Dr. Wenzel specializes in general endocrinology, thyroid disease, diabetes management, lipid disorders, hypertension, disorders of calcium metabolism, adrenal disorders and pituitary disorders. He has a clinical interest in nutrition and the role it plays in endocrinology. Dr. Wenzel’s patients know him as a doctor with boundless medical knowledge and a zest for art.
Dr. Wenzel is a member of the Travis County Medical Society.
