Bio
Dr. Michael Watkins received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School in Houston where he also completed both his internship and Chief Residency training in Internal Medicine. Following his residency training in Internal Medicine, Dr. Watkins completed a fellowship in General Cardiology at the University of California in Orange, California.
He has been a Clinical Instructor in Medicine at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston and the University of Southern California in Santa Barbara. Dr. Watkins is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease by the American Board on Internal Medicine. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the Texas Medical Association and the Travis County Medical Society.
