Bio
Dr. Traweek received his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas. Prior to entering medical school, he served in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged.
Dr. Traweek completed a residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and fellowship in Surgical Pathology at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon.
He then served as a Research and Clinical Instructor for the Department of Pathology at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon, as well as a Hematopathology Research Fellow at V.A. Hospital. He completed a fellowship in Hematopathology at City of Hope National Medical Center in Duarte, California. Dr. Traweek also served as Associate Professor of Pathology and Director of Hematopathology and Molecular Pathology at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.
He is a member of several professional organizations including International Academy of Pathology, College of American Pathologists, American Society of Clinical Pathologists, Texas Society of Pathologists, and North Texas Pathology Society. Dr. Traweek currently serves as laboratory medical director at Lakeside Hospital at Bastrop in Bastrop, Texas and Cedar Park Regional Medical Center, Cedar Park, Texas.
