. Brannan Smoot, MD received his BA degree in Human Performance and Health Sciences from Rice University where he played Division I football. He graduated from Southwestern Medical School, and completed both his internship and residency at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City. Dr. Smoot continued his orthopedic training with Fellowship programs in Sydney, Australia in both knees and foot and ankle.Dr. Smoot is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is also a member of the Texas Orthopedic Association, the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society, the Texas Medical Association and the Travis County Medical Society. Dr. Smoot is a consultant to the University of Texas Woman?s Athletic Department and specializes in orthopedic problems of the lower extremity.
