Bio

Dr. Rose Schneier was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and grew up in Central Pennsylvania. She received her AB degree in Philosophy Magna CumLaude from Bryn Mawr College in 1971. In 1975, Dr. Schneier received her MD degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. After completing her pediatric residency at St. Christopher's Hospital in Philadelphia, Dr. Schneier served as a Fellow in Pediatric Endocrinology at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. She is Board Certified in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology. Since completing her training, Dr. Schneier has held positions in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology in Reading PA, Philadelphia PA, Bakersfield California, Phoenix Arizona, Pleasanton California, and most recently in Huntsville Alabama. She has held faculty positions in Clinical Pediatrics at Jefferson Medical College, UCLA, and University of Alabama, Birmingham. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Endocrinology.

Dr. Schneier's clinical interests include management of Type I and Type II diabetes in children, treatment of the adolescent female with hyperandrogenism, and evaluation and treatment of growth disorders. She has been a participant in several nationwide collaborative clinical studies. She has also served as a volunteer physician at diabetes camps throughout the country and has served as President of the East Bay (California) chapter of the American Diabetes Association and a board member of the Northern Alabama chapter of the ADA.
