Dr. Scalo is a board certified pediatric pulmonologist and clinical assistant professor with the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB). Dr. Scalo came to Austin in 2002 after completing his pediatric pulmonary fellowship at the University of California San Francisco with research at the Cardiovascular Research Institute. Dr. Scalo graduated from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City in 1996 and completed a pediatrics residency at Los Angeles County – University of Southern California in 1999.
