Dr. Emily Sandbach is a board-certified Internist with Seton Family of Doctors at Smithville. She received her bachelor’s degree from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas graduating summa cum laude and her medical doctorate from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. Dr. Sandbach completed her residency in internal medicine at UMC Brackenridge in Austin, Texas. She served as attending physician at Hospice Austin Christopher House and as hospitalist at Hospital Internists of Austin.

She volunteered as faculty adviser and sponsor at St. Edwards University Student Chapter for Austin’s Care Communities and is currently a volunteer at Seton Volunteer Healthcare Clinic.

Dr. Sandbach is fluent in Spanish and is a member of the Texas Medical Association, Travis County Medical Society and the American Medical Association. She continues to work at Texas Oncology providing medical support, emergency care and cardiopulmonary resuscitation for patients undergoing chemotherapy when they are short-staffed.
