Dr. Jane Ripperger-Suhler completed her undergraduate training in biochemistry and molecular biology at the University of Colorado and earned her master's degree in nutrition from the University of Texas at Austin. She completed her medical degree at Texas Tech University and her general psychiatry residency and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship training at the University of Arizona. Dr. Ripperger-Suhler worked in mental health clinics with Scott and White in Temple and Round Rock, evaluating and treating children, and was the Co-Director of the Central Texas Autism Spectrum Disorders clinic until leaving in 2009 to join the Seton Healthcare Family.
Dr. Ripperger-Suhler has an outpatient clinical practice at the Texas Child Study Center and the Seton Mind Institute where she provides assessment and treatment of children with a variety of behavioral, emotional, thought or social problems.
Dr. Ripperger-Suhler holds appointments as Assistant Professor University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Clinical Assistant Professor Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine and Clinical Assistant Professor University of Texas Medical Branch.
She is committed to providing help to families affected by autism spectrum disorders through assessment, treatment, education, research and advocacy.
Dr. Ripperger-Suhler provides training for young doctors and serves as Program Director for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry for the University of Texas Southwestern.
She received the residents’ attending of the year award in 2012.
Dr. Ripperger-Suhler is a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist.
