Michael D. Josephs, M.D.

Bio

Dr. Michael Josephs grew up in western Maryland where he attended Mount Saint Mary's University.  He received a Master's Degree in Physiology prior to enrolling in medical school at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.  He then completed his general surgery residency at the University of Florida.  His pediatric surgery fellowship was completed at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center in Ohio.  When outside the hospital, Dr. Josephs can be found spending time with his wife and daughter, trail running, or dabbling in his reef aquarium.  He also enjoys taking in the myriad of outdoor activities and music opportunities available in Austin.  Dr. Josephs played an integral role in the design of the Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas.  His surgical interests include advanced minimally invasive surgery, neonatal thoracic and gastrointestinal diseases, and pediatric tumors.

Dr. Josephs is a member of the American Pediatric Surgical Association, the American College of Surgeons, the International Endosurgery Group, the Texas Medical Association and the Travis County Medical Society.

Dr. Josephs' office is centrally located close to Dell Children's Medical Center.  Office hours are M-F, 8 AM to 5 PM, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express are accepted, and new patients are welcome.
