Marion McLaurin Forbes, M.D.

Bio

A native Texan, Dr.Forbes graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Duke University in Durham, NC. She earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. Dr. Forbes completed pediatric residency training at Johns Hopkins Hospital and at Stanford University Hospital. She is board-certified in general pediatrics. After being in private practice in California for three years, Dr. Forbes moved to Austin, where she joined the general pediatrics faculty at Children's Hospital of Austin. Here she is a member of the Pediatric Consultation Referral Service,caring for children from private practices who require hospitalization and teaching future pediatricians through the sponsorship of the Austin Medical Education Programs.
