Dr. Caron Farrell was born and raised in southeastern Pennsylvania. She received her bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. She obtained her master's and PhD in chemical engineering, with an emphasis in molecular bioengineering, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Farrell completed her medical school training at Yale University School of Medicine and went on to complete residency and fellowship training through a combined program in Pediatrics, Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at Indiana University, Riley Children’s Hospital, in Indianapolis, Indiana.
She is a faculty member with the Seton Mind Institute where she practices child and adolescent psychiatry in the areas of inpatient, outpatient and consultation services. Dr. Farrell provides child psychiatric services to the innovative Pediatric Complex Care Clinic. She practices General Pediatrics with the Texas Center for Prevention and Treatment of Childhood Obesity, where she provides services in the Activating Children Empowering Success (ACES) clinic and serves as the Director of the Healthy Living Happy Living program.
Dr. Farrell holds appointments as Assistant Professor University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Clinical Assistant Professor Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine and Clinical Assistant Professor University of Texas Medical Branch. She also serves as Chief of Staff for Seton Shoal Creek Hospital.
Dr. Farrell is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in psychiatry and Pediatrics and is pursuing board eligible and pursuing board certification in certification and child and adolescent psychiatry.
