Ben Coopwood, M.D.

Bio

Ben Coopwood, M.D., FACS is the Program Director for the Department of Surgery Education for the Austin Medical Education Program.  Dr. Coopwood grew up in Austin and graduated from the University of Texas.  He then attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston and completed his general surgical residency at Baylor College of Medicine.  Dr. Coopwood is certified by the American Board of Surgery.  He is also the Trauma Medical Director at Brackenridge Hospital.
