Thomas Patrick Burns, M.D.

Bio

Thomas P. Burns, M.D., is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic surgery and has special interest in sports medicine, knee and shoulder reconstruction, arthroscopic surgery, and joint replacements. Following his medical school at The University of Texas Health Science Center, Southwestern, Dr. Burns completed an internship and residency at The University of Cininnati Medical Center and then a fellowship at Vail Valley Medical Center in Colorado.

Dr. Burns is a member of several professional societies and has published/presented a number of works in his field. He has also been appointed to leadership positions such as a volunteer physician for the United States Olympic Committee and a team physician for the United States Ski Team. Married with two children, Dr. Burns spends free time with his family. In addition, he enjoys snow skiing, golf, and tennis.
