Dr. Borses received her medical degree from the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, Maryland. She completed her Internal Medicine internship and residency at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. Soon after she became the Chief of Medicine at McDonald Army Community Hospital in Fort Eustis, Virginia. She then pursued a Cardiology fellowship at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. Upon graduation, she became the Director of Cardiology at Darnall Army Medical Center in Fort Hood, Texas. Later, she was honorably discharged from the Army as a Lieutenant Colonel, to become the Director of Cardiology at Scott and White in Round Rock, Texas. She is thrilled to have become part of the Seton Heart Institute team. Dr. Borses specializes in the compassionate delivery of health care in the area of clinical cardiology. She is especially interested in helping patients with symptoms of chest pain, shortness of breath, fainting, palpitations, and fluid retention. Areas of special interest include coronary artery disease, atrial fibrillation, congestive heart failure, valvular heart disease, and preventative cardiology and she is well experienced in the performance and/or interpretation of transthoracic echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, stress tests, rhythm monitors, and elective cardioversions. She is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease and is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Medical Association, and the Texas Medical Society.
