Drue Ware, MD

Dr. Ware is a board-certified general and critical care surgeon and serves as Director of Trauma Services at Seton Medical Center Williamson. After completing his bachelor's degree at Texas A & M University, he then received his medical degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Dr. Ware completed an internship in general surgery at Charity Hospital in New Orleans and remained in New Orleans to serve as Chief Surgical Resident with Tulane University School of Medicine. He returned to Texas for both a trauma fellowship and a critical care fellowship at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where he also served as Associate Professor of Surgery.
Dr. Ware specializes in abdominal injuries, compartment syndrome and thoracic injuries. He has conducted extensive research in the field of trauma related injuries, and is well respected by his colleagues and regarded by his patients as a skilled surgeon with an approachable manner.
Dr. Ware is a member of the American College of Surgeons, American Association of Surgery for Trauma, American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association, The Society of Critical Care Medicine, Texas Surgical Society and is a certified instructor of advanced trauma life support for American College of Surgeons.
