Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon
Dr. Eeric Truumees received his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in 1993. During which time, he accepted the university’s highest clinical honor – the Bowman Award. His internship was in General Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio, which is where he also completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery in 1998. Dr. Truumees furthered his education in spinal surgery by completing a fellowship at the William Beaumont Hospital in Michigan in 1999.
Before becoming an orthopedic surgeon at Seton Spine and Scoliosis, he served as Attending Surgeon at the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the William Beaumont Hospital in Michigan. While there, Dr. Truumees was also Clinical Director at the Harold W. Gehring Center for Biomechanical Research and Implant Retrieval.
Dr. Truumees is well-published including serving as Editor-in-Chief of SpineLine and writing for peer-reviewed publications such as Spine.
Dr. Truumees is a member of the American Orthopaedic Association, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, North American Spine Society, and Cervical Spine Research Society.
At Seton Spine and Scoliosis, Dr. Truumees specializes in cervical, lumbar, and thoracic spine disorders.
