Dr. Gabriel Garza earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston where he was recognized for demonstrated excellence in clinical care, leadership, compassion and dedication to service. He completed residency training in Psychiatry and his fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Wake Forest University School of Medicine at North Carolina Baptist Health. During his time at Wake Forest he was an active participate in medical student teaching, served as Chief Fellow, and received numerous awards for service excellence and dedication to patient care.
Dr. Garza holds appointments as Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine and Clinical Assistant Professor University of Texas Medical Branch.
Since joining the Seton Healthcare Family in 2012 he serves as Clinical Faculty at the Seton Mind Institute. He has an outpatient practice at the Texas Child Study Center and sees children and adolescents up to 18 years old. He continues his interest in teaching medical students and residents.
