Dr. Dalrymple is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and gynecologic oncology. He received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School and completed an internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General
Hospital in Boston. Dr. Dalrymple completed a fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
Dr. Dalrymple comes from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, where he was Associate Professor, Director of Gynecologic Oncology, and Vice Chair of Education for the Department of Obstetrics Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences. Previously, he spent 12 years at the University of California, Davis Medical Center in Sacramento as faculty in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology.
His clinical areas of expertise include surgical management of women with gynecologic malignancies including the use of minimally invasive and robotic surgery. His academic interests include student, resident and fellow medical education, particularly in the areas of surgical and clinical skills training, professionalism, and evaluation.
He has received numerous prestigious teaching awards from medical students and residents at both the UC Davis School of Medicine and the UT Houston Medical School. Dr. Dalrymple was inducted into the UT Houston Academy of Master Educators in 2011.
