Dr. Leigh Brown is a psychiatrist with Seton Mind Institute. She received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Des Moines University, College of Osteopathic Medicine in Des Moines, Iowa. Following an Internship in Internal Medicine at Saint Louis University, she completed a residency in Psychiatry at Washington University in St. Louis.
Dr. Brown has served both as an Assistant in Psychiatry at Washington University School of Medicine and an Assistant in Medicine at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. She has experience as a teaching assistant and facilitator on such topics as Physical Diagnosis, Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, Mood Disorders and Biochemistry in Problem Based Learning. In addition to teaching, Dr. Brown received the Center for Tobacco Research and Intervention Training Tobacco Scientist Grant for her Senior Honors Thesis, “Risk perception in college students: A barrier to smoking cessation?”
