As I look back over the past year, the word that comes to mind is pride. Pride in the incredible way Seton nurses consistently rise to the challenges of one of the most demanding, but rewarding jobs in the world. Pride that the Seton Family of Hospitals is the only healthcare network in Central Texas with four Magnet and three Pathways to Excellence hospitals. Pride that Seton nurses embody the best our profession has to offer. And pride that our nurses make it possible for Seton to achieve its Mission to care for and improve the health of the community with a special concern for the sick and poor.
Besides being amazing caregivers, managers, teachers and researchers, Seton nurses are also parents, grandparents, students, athletes, artists, coaches and community volunteers. Our 3,200 nurses come from all backgrounds and walks of life, but find common cause in providing exemplary care to every patient, every day.
Thank you for your compassion, innovation and professionalism. Thank you for being a Seton nurse and for providing extraordinary care to the patients who entrust us with their care.
