Caring for chronically ill patients and families. How health care professionals provide peace, respect, and empowerment for patients.

Purpose:   To highlight and recognize the significant contribution that nurses and health care institutions make to the quality of life and longevity of the young adult and chronically ill patients. Tiffany Christensen will speak about the lived experience of the young adult chronically ill patient, how a patient can self advocate and how health care providers can partner with the patient and families in care.
