“Breastfeeding the Compromised Infant” is a workshop designed to help health professionals
promote and support breastfeeding during potential problems in the compromised
infant that can impact breastfeeding. 


Choosing a Surgical Approach

No cost to attend.
This workshop features Dr. "Buddy" Tipton on surgical approaches to spinal fusion surgery; will include discussion of implications for nursing practice.
 
1 contact hour will be awarded.

Nursing in a Changing Healthcare Environment

No cost.
This workshop has presentations of interest to any nurse. Topics include: literature review in nursing, using caring language in healthcare, relationship based care, effective discharge planning, change in healthcare, and cultural differences in healthcare. Up to 6.5 contact hours will be awarded.

Training for the Nurse Preceptor

None
To introduce the Seton nurse to the responsibilities of preceptors, evidence based and best practices, adult learning principles, and other tools that should be used to plan and implement the orientation and socialization of new Seton nurses.
