Breastfeeding Management 2012

No cost to attend.
The Breastfeeding Management workshop is designed for healthcare professionals to promote and support breastfeeding by providing essential information.

6 L-CERPs awarded upon successful completion of this offering.

Charge Nurse Orientation Workshops 2012

$100 to attend 2 day session. Must cancel with 48 hours notice to receive refund. May send alternate if they attend both days. $50 discount for bringing your own DDI course materials. May pay via interdepartmental cost transfer.
For SFH Charge Nurses who have been in their position for less than 12 months. This 2 day program, lead by certified DDI Instructors, Human Resources, and Nursing Practice that will prepare nurse leaders as they orient to their Charge Nurse positions.

1.5 Professional Development / Leadership Hours will be granted for attendance.

 

 


Coaching to Full Potential

No cost to attend.

Participants will learn to set and communicate clear objectives for staff, evaluate staff performance on those objectives, and prepare for and conduct collaborative feedback sessions with staff to understand the root causes of obstacles to superior performance.

Overview:   Managing Breastfeeding Complications is designed to help health professionals promote and support breastfeeding during complex situations after the early postpartum period. Prior attendance to "Mini Breastfeeding Management I" or "Breastfeeding Management" is helpful.

Searching for Evidence: Using Online Information Resources for Clinical Research and Practice

No cost to attend
Attendees will gain an understanding of how to use online knowledge-based information resources to locate published clinical research, randomized-controlled trails, and evidence based studies such as systematic reviews or clinical guidelines. Opportunities for hands-on practice performing literature searches on computer will enable learners to develop skill in retrieving nursing and medical literature.
