Acute Care specialty continuing education offerings are designed to enable nurses to provide high quality care for complex medical and surgical patients.  Acute care offerings include a wide range of topics related to cardiovascular care, infectious disease, oncology, orthopedic care, hematology, diabetes, skin and wound care, hematology, gastroenterology, and hepatic/renal care.

Searching for Evidence: Using Online Information Resources for Clinical Research and Practice

No cost to attend
Attendees will gain an understanding of how to use online knowledge-based information resources to locate published clinical research, randomized-controlled trails, and evidence based studies such as systematic reviews or clinical guidelines. Opportunities for hands-on practice performing literature searches on computer will enable learners to develop skill in retrieving nursing and medical literature.

This symposium is designed for the healthcare professional interested in the latest evidenced based medicine in the care of the stroke patient. 

Training for the Nurse Preceptor

None
To introduce the Seton nurse to the responsibilities of preceptors, evidence based and best practices, adult learning principles, and other tools that should be used to plan and implement the orientation and socialization of new Seton nurses.

Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC)

Network: $150 Network/Nonnetwork: $250 Pre-registration Required
The TNCC provider course is designed to provide core level knowledge and psychomotor skills associated with the delivery of professional nursing to the trauma patient.
