Acute Care specialty continuing education offerings are designed to enable nurses to provide high quality care for complex medical and surgical patients.  Acute care offerings include a wide range of topics related to cardiovascular care, infectious disease, oncology, orthopedic care, hematology, diabetes, skin and wound care, hematology, gastroenterology, and hepatic/renal care.

Austin Trauma & Critical Care Conference

Tuition includes registration for Day 1 and Day 2
Physicians - $425.00.
Non-Physicians -$250.00.
Residents - $125.00
Seton Healthcare Family is excited to announce the 2013 Austin Trauma & Critical Care Conference to be held at the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center on May 30 & 31. Physicians, nurses and allied health professionals are all invited to attend.


Critical Care Annual Symposium: Managing Patients with Psychiatric Co-morbidities

Registration covers continental breakfast, handouts and contact hours.
  This interactive educational offering covers topics related to managing patients in the acute care setting with psychiatric co-morbidities.

Current Issues in Nursing 2013

No cost to attend.
Participants may attend some or all of the sessions; sign up for the ones you wish to attend. Earn up to 6.5 contact hours of CNE credit, and all presentations count toward clinical ladder.  Lunch on your own. 

 

Seton Family of Hospitals is an approved provider of continuing nursing educaiton by the Texas Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.


Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC)

Network: $150 Network/Nonnetwork: $250 Pre-registration Required
The TNCC provider course is designed to provide core level knowledge and psychomotor skills associated with the delivery of professional nursing to the trauma patient.

Breastfeeding the Compromised Infant (2013)
Workshop designed to help health professionals promote and support breastfeeding during potential problems in the  compromised infant that can impact breastfeeding. Prior attendance at the Breastfeeding Management course is helpful.
