Dr. Sheff began working with Seton in 2012 as president and chief medical officer of Seton Health Alliance, an accountable care organization formed by Seton and Austin Regional Clinic.

Prior to joining Seton in 2013, Dr. Sheff was medical director of Care Management and Clinical Integration for Austin Regional Clinic and senior vice president of Managed Care for Covenant Management Systems, a management services organization. He served on the Executive Board of Austin Regional Clinic and continues to serve on the Board of Covenant Management Systems. He also serves on the boards that oversee the Seton Family of Hospitals, Seton Insurance Services and Seton Clinical Enterprise.

A board-certified Family Medicine physician, Dr. Sheff continues to care for patients at Austin Regional Clinic. He received his medical degree from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, Albuquerque, and completed his residency at the Department of Family and Community Medicine, University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He completed his undergraduate degree in Psychology at Stanford University.

Dr. Sheff is the recipient of Texas Monthly's Super Doctors award, Austin Monthly's Annual Best Doctor award and Patient Choice award.
