News 112 Years Later, Seton Hospital Founders Daughters of Charity Are Moving On

AUSTIN, Texas - (Feb. 24, 2014) - Reporter Mark Gwin of KUT-FM, Central Texas' National Public Radio station, aired a story Feb. 21 about the Daughters of Charity, their 112-year history of providing medical care locally, their commitment to serving the poor and vulnerable -- and their upcoming departure. The last six daughters are leaving this year to serve elsewhere; the first one was Sister Helen Brewer, who departed this weekend for her new home in St. Louis.
