Austin, Texas -- (March 31,
2011) -- U.S.
News & World Report this week named Seton Medical
Center Austin the No. 1 hospital in Central Texas. University
Medical Center Brackenridge, also a member of the Seton Family
of Hospitals, tied for the No. 2 ranking on a list highly
regarded by health care professionals and academic researchers
and frequently cited in scholarly investigations. The rankings
also are meant to help consumers determine which hospitals
provide the best care for the most serious or complicated
medical conditions and procedures. The magazine assessed
32 hospitals in the region and various specialties in
determining its rankings.
Seton is proud to have four hospitals – the only hospitals in Central Texas - that have earned the Magnet designation, the highest award for nursing excellence given by the American Nurses Association.
