Round Rock, TX (July 9, 2010) - Seton Medical Center Williamson (SMCW) is pleased to announce it has received the Pathway to Excellence™ designation by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Nationwide, fewer than 60 hospitals have earned this recognition.
The Pathway to Excellence designation honors only those hospitals that are identified as a best place to work for nurses. The designation recognizes SMCW for offering a work environment where nurses can flourish and achieve professional satisfaction.
SMCW underwent a thorough review process to demonstrate the hospital's success in providing a positive professional setting through nursing practices, policies and culture. Nurses at SMCW verified the presence of these criteria through a confidential online survey.
"Seton Medical Center Williamson has an amazing team of nurses who have a strong voice in creating an environment where nurses thrive professionally and personally," said Melanie Fox, RN, MSN, chief nursing officer, Seton Medical Center Williamson. "Our nurses are empowered, and that professional satisfaction leads to even higher levels of compassionate care for our patients."
To celebrate this important designation, SMCW nurses were honored in their departments with Pathway to Excellence pinning ceremonies.
