LULING, TX - (January 8, 2010) - Seton Edgar B. Davis Hospital, a member of the Seton Family of Hospitals, is pleased to announce the purchase of a new power ambulance stretcher for use by Luling Emergency Medical Services (EMS).

"This new piece of equipment, with its increased stability, automatic lift and additional capacity, will immediately improve the safety and care of our patients as well as the safety of our EMS team members," said Glen Germer, Director of Emergency Medical Services at Luling.

The power stretcher offers an automatic power-lift and features increased stability and capacity to create a more secure ride for the patient. Luling EMS had hoped to obtain one but it was cost-prohibitive. Through fundraising efforts at Seton Edgar B. Davis Hospital, a generous $5000 donation was received from North South Oil, LLT. North South Oil, LLT recently opened a new office in Luling.

"It is wonderful to have a local community partner acknowledge this as an important tool for EMS services," said Neal Kelley, Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Administrator for Seton Edgar B. Davis Hospital. "On behalf of Seton Edgar B. Davis and the Luling EMS team, I want to thank North South Oil, LLT for its generous contribution."
