On Saturday, February 7, Seton Medical Center Austin will open its operating rooms to the public for the 18th Annual Mock Surgery Tour. The kid-friendly event includes tours of the ORs where participants can watch simulated surgeries, handle surgical instruments and talk to Seton's healthcare experts.
Seton offers this behind-the-scenes, interactive tour
to educate the public about the different types of technology
and techniques used in surgical procedures, demystify the whole
experience of having surgery, and hopefully entice children who
participate to consider healthcare careers.
Admission is free and free parking is available at Medical Park Tower. The tour begins at the north entrance of SMCA on 38th Street. Bring your families!
