Round Rock, Texas (July 3, 2008) -- Residents of Williamson County now have access to Seton's outpatient imaging and rehabilitation expertise closer to home. Seton Medical Center Williamson, a member of the Seton Family of Hospitals, now offers these services in the new Seton Williamson Medical Plaza I, located adjacent to the medical center at 301 Seton Parkway in Round Rock.

Women's Imaging Center Dedicated to Women's Health
The medical plaza features a new Women's Imaging Center which provides comprehensive women's diagnostic imaging services in a welcoming environment with convenient parking and patient registration. Patients can count on state-of-the art technology for detection of disease including:
- bone densitometry to measure the health of bones and detect early-stage osteoporosis
- ultrasound to examine breasts, female pelvis, abdomen, thyroid, vascular system and all three trimesters of pregnancy
- stereotactic breast biopsy which uses computer assisted X-ray to take precise tissue samples from within breast lesions
- digital mammography
"The digital mammography unit is a completely non-invasive exam that uses a low dose of X-rays to produce a high-quality digital image of the breast," said Patrick Lowther, manager of Imaging, Seton Medical Center Williamson. "It truly benefits patients because digital images require less time and provide clearer images."
Appointments for services offered at the Women's Imaging Center can be made by calling (512) 324-4800 or (512) 324-1199. All procedures are performed by highly qualified technologists and images are read by board certified radiologists.
