Round Rock, Texas - (February 20, 2008) - Grateful parents Amanda and Emmanuel Campos of Pflugerville welcomed their son Julian into the world at 11:02 p.m. on Monday, February 18. He is the first baby to be born at Seton Medical Center Williamson (SMCW), the newest member of the Seton Family of Hospitals that opened on February 7.

"This has been so exciting for us to have the first baby," said Amanda Campos. "Everyone at the hospital has been so personable and has shown so much caring. It has made a huge difference."

"From the extra bed in the room for family to spend the night to the wonderful staff - everything has been great," said Emmanuel Campos. "It makes us want to have more kids."

On behalf of SMCW, Mark Hazelwood, SMCW president and CEO, gave the family a gift basket in recognition of the special occasion.

"All the nurses have been eager for this day to come and we couldn't have asked for a sweeter family or better experience," said Debbie Fowler, RN, clinical manager, Labor and Delivery.

Julian was delivered by Kevin Brown, MD, obstetrician with Round Rock OB/Gyn. "This was truly a day of firsts for the family, for Seton Medical Center Williamson and for me as a new doctor in the community with the honor of delivering the medical center's first baby," said Dr. Brown.
