President and CEO of the Seton Foundations
Ken Gladish is a nationally recognized leader in charitable and philanthropic endeavors. He leads Seton’s four foundations, volunteer services and related activities. Immediately prior to joining Seton, Ken served as president and CEO of the Austin Community Foundation. Ken’s career includes serving as president of the YMCA of the USA and in various academic leadership roles in Michigan and Indiana. He has served as a distinguished professor of Nonprofit Studies and director of the Grantmaking School at the Johnson Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership in Grand Rapids, Mich., and served as visiting scholar at the Indiana University Center on Philanthropy. In Austin, Ken serves as an adjunct faculty member of the LBJ School at the University of Texas.
He has led organizations that have raised more than $500 million in charitable support and has been intimately engaged in creating campaigns, seeding new initiatives and serving as a key resource in endowment, capital and annual support campaigns.
Ken holds an undergraduate degree from Hanover College, master’s and doctoral degrees from the University of Virginia and several honorary doctoral degrees. He continues to serve as a volunteer director and trustee for a range of local, regional and national charities, and is actively involved in Ascension Health’s National Council on Philanthropy.
